Hello from DC.
Phyllis, here. Thanks for tuning into my Fab Academy page.
I'm delving into the fab way of making things using the Mobile Fab Lab while working to set up a 'bricks and mortar' fab lab in the heart of Washington, DC. We have the community to be served, a building to house the lab, and we're seeking equipment and funding for operations and programming.
In my other hats, I work as an artist and designer, and serve as a consultant in both for-profit and non-profit sectors, aiding businesses and organizations with start up, administration, management, communications, research, development, due diligence, and creative problem-solving. Projects have included inter-professional planning and design, art and culture, real estate syndication, urban renewal, educational programming, teaching, exhibition and lecture programs, public relations, public health initiatives, and small business development. Presently, I direct education and outreach for Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts, which provides education, legal services, and advocacy to DC's creative community.
